This Week in Review | The Twenty-Sixth

Happy Tuesday friends!

I do not want this becoming a habit of posting these Tuesdays, but yesterday was… well, I won’t bother you with that. Let’s just get to the week’s review shall we 🙂

ON MY BLOG

I’ve begun a new series of posts called Faith’s Fiddling Fridays. I’m learning to play the violin (self-teaching at the moment) and I look forward to sharing some little tidbits of insight with you as I go along 🙂 You can find the first post HERE!

IN WRITING

Pirate Eyes has been my top priority this month as I entered it into #PitchWars. This Thursday is the mentee reveal day and, while I have no expectation of being chosen, I have still appreciated the experience. The #PitchWars thread on Twitter has been rather insightful and has led me to make new connections with fellow writers. So it’s a win-win whatever the case.

It’s also given me a chance to do another round of edits (I lost track of the number after the 15th draft three years ago ;P). The best part: in the first eight chapters I managed to cut a whole 2k words! This is a big deal for a person who ended up adding 3k during her last revision session! I still have more edits to type up, but I’m expecting to be down by at least another 5k.

My plan at the moment is to start querying again September 1st, letting her loose into the world, just in time for me to apply myself to one of the new projects I’ve only been toying with during these summer months. More on that to come.

Wow, this was a shorter post than anticipated.

Stay well, friends! May this week be filled with many blessings of happiness and health ❤

May inspiration flow like ink upon your quill,
